Casting has had a heavy reliance on self tapes since COVID. In fact, pretty much every role only has self tape requests. Very few are in-person. Even call-backs (recalls) are mostly done online via live stream.

The new age of self tape auditions has now widened the field which has both an upside and a downside. The upside, more actors are getting the opportunity to read for a role than before. The downside, more actors are getting the opportunity to read for a role than ever before.

Where casting used to bring in 6 actors for a role on a series, they now are allowing tens of actors, possibly hundreds of actors, to submit their self tape audition.

The other crucial change is that within seconds of starting your self tape, casting can just turn it off and go to the next one. Those first few seconds are critical to your success. And to keep them watching, you must deliver your best work.

This training is specifically designed to vastly improve your self tape auditions. Every week you will be required to record two self tape auditions as part of your training. And that does not include any real auditions you may get during that time.
